The Benefits of Sports Camp (for the volunteers, that is)
There are many benefits to helping with camp other than the obvious. Take a look at a few I came up with.
1. Sweat off those excess pounds out on the soccer field.
2. Bounce into shape playing basketball.
3. Learn your right from your left while cheering for God & be inspired by the UW Cheer Coach who looks about 15 years old.
4. Be 8 years old again until sit on the floor & can't get up again & have your group rally around you for support, it's a feel good moment.
5. Eat healthy snacks ( and then see camp director for junk food, i:e: me).
6. See how your kids really are when you are not around & then pretend you have never met them in your life.
7. Dance like you were back in the 50's 70's or 80's depending on your era & embarrass the heck out of your kids (my personal favorite)!
8. Hang out with your kid's & then thank God that there are options to homeschooling like public school.
9. Spend the week with other adults who are seeking to break free of laundry, dishes and shoe shining.
10. Develop dancer's calves!
